Communications
CIIDES-2024 welcomes the submission of communications related to the proposed thematic lines of the conference. These may include educational experiences, examples of best practices, well-founded empirical research, and scientifically updated theoretical studies.
Communication presentation guidelines
- All communications must be original and unpublished works.
- A maximum of four individuals may sign a communication. All must have completed conference registration and payment on time. Otherwise, they will be excluded from publications.
- The contact person with the Organizing Committee will be the first author.
- Everyone may sign up to two communications. Being listed in more will result in exclusion.
- Communications can be presented in Spanish or English.
- The communication abstract should be between 300-400 words. It should be written in a single paragraph and include 3-5 keywords.
- If the communication abstract pertains to empirical work, it should follow this structure: Introduction, Objectives, Method, Results, and Conclusions.
- If the communication abstract pertains to theoretical work, it should follow this structure: Introduction, Objectives, Development of the Theme, and Conclusions.
- If the communication abstract pertains to an educational experience, it should follow this structure: Introduction, Objectives, Description of the Experience, and Conclusions.
- The communication abstract should not include citations or references.
- The Scientific Committee will evaluate each proposal and may request necessary corrections.
- Submission of a communication abstract implies acceptance of all conference publication rules and compliance with quality criteria (originality, rigour, and contribution of empirical results or theoretical conclusions).
- During the conference, each communication will be presented through a video (maximum 7 minutes) outlining the work conducted.
- Authors of each communication will receive a certificate for their contribution to the "1st International Conference on Innovation, Didactics, and Education for Sustainability. CIIDES-2024."
Steps for submitting communications:
Step 1. Communication registration
Deadline: February 24, 2024
One of the authors submits a communication proposal aligned with the thematic lines of CIIDES-2024. To do so, they must complete the Form established for Step 1.

Once the proposal is registered, the CIIDES-2024 Scientific Committee will conduct the evaluation process. Notification of acceptance or rejection will be
emailed to the contact author as soon as possible. In the event of a positive evaluation, the process will continue to Step 2.
Step 2. Submission of the communication video
Deadline on March 5th, 2024
Guidelines for the presentation of papers
- During the Conference, all papers will be presented in video format.
- For this purpose, the contact author will send the video of the presentation on the scheduled date.
- The video recording can be done with the support of slides elaborated with the PowerPoint and the Conference's PowerPoint template.
Alternatively, the presentation can be made without slides.
In any case, the presentation should reflect the most essential elements of the research and be clear and coherent. - It is optional for the video to show the face of the person communicating. However, it is recommended that it is shown, as it is a motivational element for the audience.
- The conference organisation will be in charge of the asynchronous presentation of the videos.
- During the conference days, the authors must participate in the forum, answering questions about their contribution.
Recording the video:
The following aspects need to be taken into account:
- In the case of communications, the length of the video should be at most 7 minutes.
- The video recording must be made in horizontal format.
- The sound quality must be adequate. Therefore, it is recommended that the recording be made in a space with little or no ambient noise.
- Different options or web applications can be used to record the video, e.g. Google Meet, Screencast, OBS, etc.
- Once the video has been recorded, it should be uploaded to YouTube. Name the video as follows: CIIDES 2024-Name of the communication. The video must be labelled as public.
- o The contact author must send the URL or link to the video previously uploaded to YouTube. For this purpose, a form is available.

Publications
All communications will be published in the Conference Proceedings Book (University of Alicante Editorial). Optionally, the complete text can be submitted for
publication, subject to anonymous peer review (see the publications section).
