Symposiums
The CIIDES-2025 offers the opportunity to present symposia on some of the proposed lines in Conference. A symposium is a session that
addresses a relevant and exciting issue around which all invited presentations should revolve. In this case, its objective is to stimulate reflection and
collaborative knowledge construction for innovation and the promotion of Education for Sustainable Development.
Each symposium must consist of a compilation of 4 or 5 invited presentations. These should address some issues related to the theme that underlies the symposium
and can be empirical, theoretical, or based on classroom experience.
To participate in this modality, it is necessary to follow the conference rules. Only a symposium that meets these requirements will be accepted.
Rules for symposium proposals:
- A single person will coordinate each symposium, although this person can also present their contribution.
- The coordinator will be the contact person and the person responsible for the symposium. Therefore, they will be responsible for submitting the proposal and communicating the inFormation from the Organizing Committee to the other participants.
- A single author must sign each presentation. This person must have Formalized the registration and payment of Conference on time. Otherwise, they will be unable to participate in the conference and will be removed from the publications.
- Each symposium will consist of a minimum of 4 presentations and a maximum of 5.
- Presenters can only participate in a single symposium.
- The symposium summary can be submitted in Spanish or English.
- The Scientific Committee will evaluate each proposal and may request corrections as necessary.
- Submitting the symposium implies the acceptance of all the Conference publication rules and compliance with quality criteria (originality, rigour, and contribution of empirical results or theoretical conclusions).
- During the conference, the presentation of each symposium will be made through a video (maximum 60 minutes), in which the different presentations that make it up will be explained.
- Participants in the symposium will receive a certificate of presentation and/or symposium coordination at the "I International Conference on Innovation, Didactics, and Education for Sustainability. CIIDES-2025."
Steps for Submitting Symposia:
Step 1 - Symposium proposals registration for evaluation
Deadline on February 10th, 2025
The Symposium Coordinator submits a proposal framed in one of the thematic lines proposed in the CIIDES-2025. To do this, they must complete the Form established
for Step 1. In it, they must indicate:
- Coordinator's full name.
- Identification document.
- Institutional email.
- Institution/University/Research Center.
- Phone number (associated with WhatsApp or Telegram).
- Portrait photograph of the coordinator (photo size: 240 pixels tall and 200 pixels wide, background colour: white). Maximum weight 1MB (accepted Formats: jpg, jpeg, png).
- Symposium title.
- Keywords (3-5 separated by commas).
- Conference theme to which the symposium is linked.
- Number of presentations that make up the symposium.
- Symposium summary (between 500-600 words). This one should be separate from citations or references and written in a single paragraph.
- If the symposium summary refers to an empirical work, it will have the following structure: Introduction, Objectives, Method, Results, and Conclusions.
- If the symposium summary refers to a theoretical work, it will have the following structure: Introduction, Objectives, Development of the theme, and Conclusions.
- If the symposium summary refers to an educational experience, it will have the following structure: Introduction, Objectives, Description of the experience, and Conclusions.
Once the proposal is registered, the Scientific Committee of CIIDES-2025 will conduct the evaluation process. The acceptance or rejection of the symposium will be communicated via email (the address used in the registration) as soon as possible. In the event of a positive evaluation, the process will proceed to Step 2. Accepted proposals will be gradually incorporated into the Conference website.

Step 2 - Registration of invited symposium presentations for evaluation
Deadline on February 17th, 2025

independently. The Symposium Coordinator will register all presentations using the Step 2 Form. To do so, they must prepare the following information:
- Symposium code (sent in the acceptance email).
- Author information for the presentations (full name, identification document, and affiliation).
- Titles, abstracts, and keywords for the presentations.
Presentation guidelines:
- All presentations must be original and unpublished works.
- Presentations can be delivered in Spanish or English.

- If the presentation abstract pertains to empirical work, it should follow this structure: Introduction, Objectives, Method, Results, and Conclusions.
- If the presentation abstract pertains to theoretical work, it should follow this structure: Introduction, Objectives, Theme Development and Conclusions.
- If the presentation abstract pertains to an educational experience, it should follow this structure: Introduction, Objectives, Description of the Experience, and Conclusions.

Step 3. Submission of the symposium video
Deadline on February 24th, 2025
Guidelines for the presentation of symposium
- During the Conference, all symposia will be presented in video format.
- For this purpose, the contact author will send the video of the presentation on the scheduled date.
- The video recording can be done with the support of slides elaborated with the PowerPoint and the Conference's PowerPoint template.
Alternatively, the presentation can be made without slides.
In any case, the presentation should reflect the most essential elements of the research and be clear and coherent. - It is optional for the video to show the face of the person communicating. However, it is recommended that it is shown, as it is a motivational element for the audience.
- The conference organisation will be in charge of the asynchronous presentation of the videos.
- During the conference days, the authors must participate in the forum, answering questions about their contribution.
Recording the video:
The following aspects need to be taken into account:
- o In the symposium, the video duration should be at most 60 minutes. The video should contain a short presentation of the symposium by the coordinator and all the presentations that are part of the symposium, i.e. the video should present all the symposium presentations consecutively.
- The video recording must be made in horizontal format.
- The sound quality must be adequate. Therefore, it is recommended that the recording be made in a space with little or no ambient noise.
- Different options or web applications can be used to record the video, e.g. Google Meet, Screencast, OBS, etc.
- Once the video has been recorded, it should be uploaded to YouTube. Name the video as follows: CIIDES 2025-Name of the symposium. The video must be labelled as public.
- o The contact author must send the URL or link to the video previously uploaded to YouTube. For this purpose, a form is available.
