Third International Conference on Innovation, Teaching and Education for Sustainability
We are pleased to announce the Third International Conference on Innovation, Teaching and Education for Sustainability (CIIDES-2026),
organised by the Interdisciplinary Research Group on Educational Innovation, Teaching and Sustainability (INNODES) and the Network for Design and
Attention to Gender Opportunities in Higher Education (REDGENU).
Following the success of previous editions, which brought together a distinguished representation of the national and international scientific community, we
enthusiastically take on the challenge of this third edition. Under the theme 'From commitment to action: teaching, research and innovation for a sustainable
future', the congress will be held on 25, 26, and 27 March 2026.
The conference is structured around three fundamental themes: teaching and learning, educational innovation, and Education for
Sustainable Development (ESD), understood as complementary pillars for transforming teaching, driving change, and moving towards a sustainable future.
CIIDES is aimed at researchers, teachers, professionals, and students from all areas of knowledge who are interested in improving education through an
innovative, critical, and transformative approach. The conference provides a space for the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and scientific evidence related
to education and, specifically, Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), addressing its social, economic, environmental, and ethical dimensions. In this
sense, it is an ideal forum for analysing trends, comparing approaches, highlighting best practices, and generating proposals for educational action in line
with the global challenges of the 2030 Agenda.
The objectives of this edition are:
- To share proposals, evidence, and results of teaching innovation that contribute to transforming education towards more equitable, inclusive, and sustainable models.
- To share innovative experiences and best practices in integrating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into teaching, research, leadership, management, and transfer to society.
- Explore innovative teaching-learning approaches that integrate active methodologies, emerging technologies, and artificial intelligence ethically, aimed at achieving sustainability.
- Create spaces for critical reflection and interdisciplinary dialogue on the current challenges of sustainability in education: equity, governance, socio-emotional well-being, global citizenship, impact assessment, social justice, and gender.
- Strengthen academic and professional partnerships in the field of education and sustainability, promoting collaborative networks for transformation.
- Research initial and continuing teacher training, covering all educational stages and contexts.
- Promote innovative teaching proposals that incorporate active methodologies and enhance the transformation of teaching and learning processes.
The conference will be held virtually, with presentations in Spanish and English and access to recorded sessions to facilitate international participation.
We look forward to your valuable contribution and participation in this space for dialogue and shared learning.
